Purpose of the job
To assist the Universities Coordinator and the National Associations Development Unit in their activities.
Main activities
· Register new books and articles in UEFA’s electronic library system. Take care of the day-to-day management
of the UEFA library (manage loans, keep the physical library in order, etc.).
· Enter new data into the universities database and update existing information.
· Assist the Universities Coordinator to produce the UEFA academic newsletter and, more generally, to promote
the academic activities implemented by UEFA.
· Assist the Universities Coordinator to organise visits by partner universities to UEFA headquarters.
· Assist the Universities Coordinator to manage academic research projects commissioned or supported by
UEFA.
· Assist the Universities Coordinator with administrative tasks related to the academic projects implemented by
UEFA.
· Assist the Universities Coordinator with his daily activities, in particular answering internal and external
requests.
· In general, provide support to the Universities Coordinator and to the National Associations Development Unit.
Main responsibilities
· Ensure the day-to-day management of the UEFA library and the updating/development of the universities
database.
· Ensure that the universities consider UEFA as a professional organisation in terms of its collaboration with the
academic world, especially by assisting the Universities Coordinator with his daily activities and specific
projects. Contribute to the promotion of the academic activities implemented by UEFA.
· Provide assistance to the National Associations Development Unit.
Education
· Master’s degree
· Sports-specific university course (degree or master’s) is a strong plus
· PhD in a sports-related topic planned or ongoing would be an asset
Work Experience
· At least one year’s experience in a university and/or research organisation as a scientific coordinator/research
assistant (research on a sports-related topic is a real plus).
· Assets: article(s) on a sports-related topic published in peer-reviewed academic journal, participation in
academic conferences as a speaker, work experience in a library.
Business know-how and IT Skills
· Good understanding of the academic spirit, ability to understand the universities’ approach, organisation and
objectives
· Good knowledge of MS Office tools
· Experience of electronic databases
· Sports knowledge
Language skills
· English mother tongue or equivalent
· French and German = strong assets
Comment
Candidates working on a PhD or completing a master’s thesis, can be allocated time for their research.

UEFA- EURO 2012: Event Transport Manager-005DL
Purpose of the job
The Event Transport department is responsible for the planning and delivery of Transportation for national teams,
officials, guests and staff for EURO 2012. The anticipated venues covered are all airports, hotels and stadiums within the
host cities of the EURO 2012 tournament. The Event Transport Manager Ukraine is responsible – together with the
UEFA Event Transport Manager - for planing, implementing and operationg client focused transportation services for
EURO 2012 target groups.
Main activities
· participating in the concept establishment of the UEFA EURO 2012 non public transport management by
developing a flexible system which covers the needs of the target groups (national teams, officials, guests and
staff for EURO 2012) routing between the airports, hotels and stadiums within the host cities of EURO 2012 in
Ukraine;
· establishing a smooth and effective top quality transport procedure in a cost effective way;
· setting up the operational strategy for the transport system, its design and operational implementation;
· managing the bidding and contracting process with the suppliers for equipment and services, managing the
operational relationship with the car and bus suppliers;
· organizing the implementation and the running of the Transport and Car distribution center (de/commissioning,
distribution, maintenance, repair, return) as well as the fleet support services (e.g. insurance, fuelling, car wash
etc.);
· elaborating and implementing an adequate workforce plan, organizing the training of his/her staff and the
professional drivers/bus drivers.
Main responsibilities
Establish and control the budget & project management of the Event Transport system.
Education
University Degree (Ideally Transport, Logistic or operations related).
Work Experience
· 5+ years of relevant experience of working within a Transport/Logistical Client Focused Industry;
· 3+ years of event experience is a strong plus;
· experience in project/budget management.
Business know-how and IT Skills
· excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills;
· strong planning and organizational skills;
· advanced PC user (MS Office, MS Project);
· knowledge of vehicle administration software is a strong plus.
Language skills
· fluent Ukrainian/English;
· Polish is a plus.
